   Debra Box
Executive Director

Debra brings a diverse skill set that includes organizational and board development, fiscal management and information management, and fund development.  During her nine years at SKC, she has developed tools to help agencies better focus on their strategies and effectively monitor and report their outcomes.  Debra provides executive coaching to our clients’ leadership teams including assisting them with their board development and strategic planning.  Debra has degrees in Business Administration from the Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Ottawa University and has received advanced board training for consultants from BoardSource. 

Debra is a frequent presenter to the nonprofit community and has served as adjunct professor at both Hauptmann School of Public Affairs at Park University and Ottawa University.  She is currently developing the board training curriculum on behalf of Nonprofit Connect.  Debra has been active in both the not-for-profit and for-profit community, including serving as vice president for a community developer and database manager for St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation.  In 2010, Debra was named one of Kansas City’s Influential Women by the Kansas City Business Magazine. 

     
  

Lisa Boos
Payroll Specialist
Lisa has experience in individual financial planning, retirement plans, and as an auditor.  She has also earned her Series 6 and 63 licenses.  Lisa graduated from Kansas State University where she earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Family Studies and Human Services with an emphasis in Family Financial Planning.  Lisa is active in the running community and with her nonprofit running/walking club as well as other nonprofit organizations.  Lisa joined SKC in 2006.

     
   Lynda Charles
Bookkeeper

Lynda has 25 years of payroll, commission and accounting background.  Her experience includes 19 years with an insurance agency as an Office Manager and 5 years as a Commission/Accounting Manager of a local Broker/Dealer.  In addition to her extensive accounting background, Lynda has received training through the Professional Bookkeeper Program from the Universal Accounting Center, Salt Lake City, Utah.  Lynda began working for SKC in 2007.  

     
   

   

     
 

Katrina Gronniger
Bookkeeper
Katrina has worked over the last eight years in the accounting department of a local audio/video systems integrating company.  That experience gained her the knowledge of accounts receivable, cash management, month end closing and accounting reporting.  She has over ten years of experience working in a multi-client environment.   She began her college education at Maple Woods Community College and will be continuing her studies in accounting this fall.  Katrina joined SKC in 2007. Katrina is a Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor.

     
  

Wendy Kor
Accounting Specialist
Wendy has 15 years of work experience in accounting in a small business environment and in the public accounting arena.  She has also served in a volunteer capacity for a variety of Kansas City nonprofits.  She has worked with all aspects of general accounting, as well as tax preparation, payroll, and database management.  Wendy is a graduate of the University of Kansas where she earned her B.A.  in Political Science and a Masters in Business Administration. She joined SKC in 2005. Wendy is a Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor.

     
   Pam Lander
Client Support Team
Pam has worked as an office manager in the public school system, in city government administration, in the health insurance industry, and in the human relations field. She has experience in marketing and has worked as a copy editor for Tyndale House Publishers in Chicago and for Peachtree Editorial Service in Atlanta. Pam has a B.A. degree in Business Administration from the University of Memphis.  She began working for SKC in 2002.
     
   Elizabeth Liddle
Client Accountant
Elizabeth has a B.S. in Anthropology and German from Albion College and two years of graduate studies in Ethnology at the University of New Mexico. After living in England for four years, she relocated to Oregon where she worked with a bank holding company and pursued accounting degrees at Southwestern Community College and Linfield College. As a licensed CPA, she has worked for Moss Adams, LLP in Oregon and Miller Haviland Ketter PC in Kansas. Elizabeth's tax and audit experience includes for-profit, non-profit, and governmental entities. She is a licensed C.P.A. in Oregon, Kansas and Missouri; and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is an avid reader and a less than avid gardener. Elizabeth joined SKC as a full-time Client Accountant in June 2005.
     
   Francie Mayer
Client Accountant

Francie has six years experience in public accounting working for CPA firms in Wichita , Kansas. While there she performed financial statement audits and reviews for manufacturing, construction, and professional service companies, as well as not-for-profit organizations. She also provided corporate, individual, and nonprofit tax preparation services. Prior to her accounting career, she worked five years as partner/manager in a Wichita travel agency. She received her Masters in Accounting from Wichita State University in 1993, her CPA certificate in 1997, and is licensed to practice in Kansas. Francie has been a member of the Kansas City Ballet Guild for three years, and currently serves as Vice President of Membership. She joined the Support KC staff in 2005.

   

 

Kassie Sands

Fund Development Specialist

Kassie has ten years of experience working with social service and nonprofit businesses, including as a case manager for the Greater Kansas City Foundation and volunteering with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Alzheimer's Association and Headquarters Counseling Center. For the last four years, Kassie has provided assistance to over 30 nonprofit clients in fund development; including fund development planning, special events, grant writing, database creation and management, and donor communications such as annual appeal mailings. Kassie completed major course work toward a B.A. in English Literature at the University of Kansas, and received her B.S. in Organizational Management and Leadership from Friends University. She earned her Certificate in Fundraising from the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership. She serves on the board for YNPN of Kansas City and is a member of the AFP Mid America Chapter. She joined SKC in 2007.

   

 

Leslie Taylor

Bookkeeper

Leslie recently graduated from the Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration where she earned a B.S. in Accounting. She is a native of Kansas City and has over 5 years in customer service. Leslie also has certifications in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. She plans to go back to graduate school to pursue a Masters in Accounting and thereafter, take the C.P.A. Exam. Leslie began working for SKC in 2010. Leslie is a Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor.

   

  

Cristina Vargas
Client Support Team

Cristina has been working in the Kansas City metropolitan area for the last 15 years providing social work services in the following roles: Parent Educator with the Parent as Teachers program; Family Advocate with the Kansas City Healthy Start program; Case Manager for El Centro Inc.; and most recently, Accounting Clerk for El Centro, Inc.  Cristina is fluent in speaking and writing the Spanish language.  She earned a Diploma in Accounting from Brown Mackie College and a B.F.A. from the University of Lincoln Nebraska.  She is experienced in accounting, payroll, and database softwares.  Cristina joined SKC in 2007.
